What it teaches
The US amateur radio Technician exam, from its own question pool. The exam’s 35 questions are drawn from a public pool of 409, which is split into 35 groups; this course drills every text-only pool question (397), subelement by subelement: FCC rules, operating, propagation, station practices, electrical principles, components, circuits, signals, antennas and safety. Then it gives practice exams built the way the real one is, one question per group, scored against the real pass mark (26 of 35). The AI asks 3 questions, checks one question from each subelement, sets your path, and gives you one pool question at a time; each drill miss comes back 3 or 4 rounds later, answered in words so you can’t just remember a letter (except two questions whose options differ only in capital letters).
Not for the General or Extra exams.
How long
403 items (397 pool questions + 6 on the exam). Every pool question is shown at least once and each drill miss comes back, plus a 35-question practice exam: roughly 13-19 sessions of ~40 rounds (not timed with a real student). The tutor gives a one-line save code at the end of each session.
The modules
11 modules, drilled one item at a time.

Before it teaches, it asks
- 1When is your exam (a date, roughly, or not booked yet)? Have you used a radio, a scanner or electronics before?
- 2What formula is used to calculate current in a circuit?
- 3For which classes of amateur radio licenses does the FCC currently issue new licenses?
What’s exact, and what isn’t

- The questions and Keys are the official ones, word for word
- The NCVEC Question Pool Committee’s 2026-2030 Technician pool (public release with errata, Feb 19 2026), which the committee released into the public domain.
- The exam facts are sourced
- 35 questions and a pass at 26 from the FCC rule (47 CFR 97.503); one question per group from the pool’s syllabus.
- No explanations
- The pool gives answers, not reasons, and this version adds none: the tutor gives the right option and, where the pool cites one (every rules question in T1 but one, and one in T2), the FCC rule section. Learning is by repetition and practice exams.
- Honest limits
- 12 pool questions need the pool’s three diagrams (Figures T-1 to T-3) and are left out (text-only). 10 of them are in group T6C (12 questions), so a real exam will often include one; the practice exams here never show one. Passing practice exams is not a licence, and this course isn’t connected to the FCC, the NCVEC or any exam team.
