What it teaches
How to answer “Tell me about a time when...” questions so an interviewer hears one real event, what you did, and a result they can picture. The AI asks 3 questions (including one story of yours), places you, shows you each module’s rules before quizzing you on them, drills you on spotting and fixing weak answers, then makes you answer the common questions in your own words and scores every answer on a written 10-point score. Fail a line and you redo the same story, up to twice. Then it runs full mock interviews with fixed follow-up rules, and, if you have a real interview, builds your story bank and a mock for that role.
How long
2-3 sessions. Roughly 30-50 rounds depending on redos, 2 mocks, then a final test. Real interview within 14 days? Say so at the start: you skip most drills and get a STAR check, your story bank (6 real stories, scored and redone), your “Tell me about yourself”, and a mock for that role. About 25 rounds: plan 2 hours, or split it over 2 days with the save line. A one-line save code at the end of each session lets you carry on in a new chat.

Before it teaches, it asks
- 1Do you have a real interview coming up? If so: the role, the date, and the type of company. If not, what kind of job are you aiming for? And what’s hardest for you: rambling, not having stories, saying 'we', freezing on failure or conflict questions, nerves, something else?AI voice (ElevenLabs)
- 2Tell me about a time you solved a problem at work, school or volunteering. Type it exactly as you’d say it in an interview.
- 3Question: “Tell me about a project you led.” Answer: “Last year our team moved the help desk to a new ticket system. We mapped the old categories, we trained the agents, we ran both systems for a week, and we switched over with no downtime.” What’s the main problem with this answer?
What’s exact, and what isn’t

- Exact
- M0 and M1 answers (label, diagnose).
- Scripted
- Mock follow-ups (a fixed rule picks each one, not the AI’s mood).
- Scored by checklist
- Your stories. 10 lines, 3 of them gates, and more than half “we” fails. Eight judgment calls remain (near-fit stories, concrete action vs summary verb, rough word counts, counting “we”, framing vs a new fact, identifying detail, a recurring problem fixed once, a mock pressure reply that inflates a fact); M3 lists them.
- Rules of thumb (labeled)
- STAR itself and every rule in M0. Mainstream advice, not a guarantee. Interviewers vary.
- Not in it yet
- Case, technical or coding interviews, salary questions (see the Salary Negotiation course), legal questions, non-English interviews, company-specific question lists.
