What it teaches
Counting keys in semitones, building any major scale, spelling major, minor, diminished and augmented triads on any key, naming inversions, the three common seventh chords, and the chords that belong to a major key (I, IV, V and the rest). The AI asks one question at a time, makes you show how you counted every third round, and brings each missed item back a few rounds later.
It can’t hear you play or see your hands. It drills knowing the notes, not technique.
How long
40 items. About 35-50 rounds plus a 12-item final: 2-3 sessions (estimate, not timed with a real student). The tutor gives a one-line save code at the end of each session.
The modules
4 modules, drilled one item at a time.

Before it teaches, it asks
- 1How long have you played, and what do you play now: nothing yet, melodies, chords from chord symbols, pieces from sheet music?
- 2Which note is 4 semitones above C?
- 3Spell the D major chord.
What’s exact, and what isn’t
Show
Straight from the course’s own notes.
- Computed by script
- Every note and chord answer, spelled one letter per step or chord tone and checked again on absolute key numbers; every chord name is the only reading whose letters stack in thirds; whole-range checks on all 12 roots (chords, scales, the chords of each key). All 32 hand answers matched.
